Job Description
- The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
- The candidate must clean and lubricate cranes.
- The candidate must erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
- The candidate must mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt accurately.
- The candidate must assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
- The candidate must assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
- The candidate must assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
- The candidate must level earth to meet fine grade specifications.
- The candidate must assist in demolishing buildings.
- The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
- The candidate must perform routine maintenance work.
- The candidate must remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
- The candidate must tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
- The candidate must direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
- The candidate must be accurate.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate must be a good team player.
