Driver, mobile concrete mixer

V. J. Rice Concrete Limited ( Kentville, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Driver, mobile concrete mixer. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate expertise in mountain driving.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be hardworking.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be able to handle a large workload.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
