Sharleez Bridal in Niagara Falls, ON is seeking a self-motivated Dress patternmaker. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Weekend, Flexible hours shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must draw, lay out and cut master patterns for products.
• The candidate must create pattern size variations from master patterns using drafting tools or computers.
• The candidate must lay out master patterns on fabric and cut sample patterns.
• The candidate must estimate fabric or material requirements for products.
• The candidate must examine sketches, samples, and design specifications to determine the number, size, and shape of pattern parts and to assess the quantity of fabric required to produce a product.
• The candidate must mark size, identification and sewing instructions on sample patterns.
• The candidate must outline pattern parts on paper and mark them to indicate details such as pocket and pleat placement on garments, decorative stitching on shoe components, or eyelet positions on canvas products.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
