TOPAZ TRANSPORT INC. in Hammonds Plains, NS is inviting applications for the position of Director of operations - transportation. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity.

Job Description

• The candidate must monitor departmental performance.
• The candidate must plan for changes to schedules and policies.
• The candidate must supervise staff.
• The candidate must establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
• The candidate must oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
• The candidate must oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue.
• The candidate must ensure compliance with government regulations.
• The candidate must develop policies and procedures to implement programs.
• The candidate must be familiar with MS Office applications.
• The candidate must allocate material, human, and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs.
• The candidate must establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
• The candidate must represent the organization, or delegate representatives, in negotiations or other official functions.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
• The candidate must work in a trucking company to manage transportation logistics, operate vehicles safely, and ensure timely deliveries.
• The candidate must work in a general office.

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
