T&T Supermarket in Waterloo, ON is inviting applications for the position of Department head, retail store. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must assign duties to sales workers.
• The candidate must hire and train staff or arrange for their training as required.
• The candidate must establish work schedules.
• The candidate must sell merchandise to customers.
• The candidate must prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
• The candidate must resolve issues that arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must supervise and coordinate the activities of workers.
• The candidate must organize day-to-day business operations.
• The candidate must conduct quality control.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.

Work Site Environment

• The work environment is smoke-free.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a supermarket/grocery store self-service shop offering a wide variety of food, beverages, and household products, organized into sections.
