Progressive Machining Inc. in Waterloo, ON is seeking a self-motivated CNC (computer numerical control) lathe operator - metal machining. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Day, To be determined, Overtime available, , 06:30 to 15:30.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate and set up machines for repetitive machining operations.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• The candidate must enter CNC codes specifying speed, feed and tool paths.
• The candidate must clean and maintain workspaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must have the ability to multitask.

Work Setting

• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
