Dairy farm manager

Three Corner Dairy in Bay Bulls, NL is seeking a self-motivated Dairy farm manager. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must manage feed inventory activities.
• The candidate must monitor the calving process.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must oversee the activities of clearing fields.
• The candidate must maintain farm machinery, equipment, and buildings.
• The candidate must manage the overall operation of the farm.
• The candidate must maintain financial and production records.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
• The candidate must recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
• The candidate must supervise staff or teams.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
