Toronto Advocates in North York, ON is inviting applications for the position of Criminal lawyer. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Term or contractPart time leading to full time position. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must advise clients of their legal rights and all matters related to law.
• The candidate must perform administrative functions related to the practice of law.
• The candidate must perform management functions related to the practice of law.
• The candidate must plead clients’ cases before courts of law, tribunals, and boards (lawyers only).
• The candidate must draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion.
• The candidate must offer mediation, conciliation, and arbitration services.
• The candidate must supervise professional, para-legal, and support staff and articling students.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
