Construction site supervisor

Doctor Countertop Ltd is situated in Vernon, BC and is hiring a Construction site supervisor to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare production and other reports.
• The candidate must supervise workers and oversee projects.
• The candidate must coordinate and schedule activities effectively.
• The candidate must oversee apprenticeship training.
• The candidate must recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions.
• The candidate must train or arrange for training of staff.
• The candidate must set up machines and equipment.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must lead and instruct individuals.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
