Job Description

  • The candidate must supervise workers and oversee projects.
  • The candidate must coordinate and schedule activities effectively.
  • The candidate must oversee apprenticeship training.
  • The candidate must train or arrange for training of staff.
  • The candidate must set up machines and equipment.
  • The candidate must ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
  • The candidate must read blueprints and drawings.
  • The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • The candidate must lead and instruct individuals.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Site Environment

  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

  • The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
  • The candidate must work in a commercial setting that fosters a workforce of highly competent, respectful, mature, and accountable employees working toward a common goal.
  • The candidate should be involved in the maintenance, repair, and maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
  • The candidate must focus on repair work, restoring damaged, deteriorated, or broken items to good condition.
  • The candidate must work in restoration to repair, preserve, or refurbish items, structures, or artwork to their original or improved condition.
