Construction estimator

Tectra Group Inc in Etobicoke, ON is seeking a self-motivated Construction estimator. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
• The candidate must project cash flow and financing requirements.
• The candidate must create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
• The candidate must advise on tendering procedures.
• The candidate must set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
• The candidate must monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• The candidate must prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
• The candidate must liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
