Concrete pump operator

Sams Concrete Company ( Richmond, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Concrete pump operator. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
• The candidate must perform pre-operational inspections.
• The candidate must read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt accurately.
• The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work.
• The candidate must tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
