Concrete finisher helper

Beyond Basics Concrete Finishing & Repairs Ltd. is situated in Kelowna, BC and is hiring a Concrete finisher helper to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Morning, Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• The candidate must erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
• The candidate must mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt accurately.
• The candidate must assist the medical examiner in charge.
• The candidate must assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
• The candidate must level earth to meet fine grade specifications.
• The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
• The candidate must remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
