Developmental Disabilities Association in Richmond, BC is inviting applications for the position of Community service worker. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, , 08:00 to 15:30 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must implement life skills workshops.
• The candidate must assess clients’ relevant skill strengths and development needs.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Additional Information

Security and Safety

• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.
• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
• The candidate must be able to pass a driving record check (abstract).
