CNC (computer numerical control) machinist

Technical Plastics ( Markham, ON) is currently looking for a skilled CNC (computer numerical control) machinist. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• The candidate must program CNC machine tools.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
