CNC (computer numerical control) machinist

Now hiring: CNC (computer numerical control) machinist at Norwest Precision Limited in North York, ON. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Shift, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must operate and set up machines for repetitive machining operations.
• The candidate must clean and maintain workspaces.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• The candidate must enter CNC codes specifying speed, feed and tool paths.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
