CNC (computer numerical control) machinist

Domino Machine Inc ( Edmonton, AB) is currently looking for a skilled CNC (computer numerical control) machinist. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Day, Evening, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• The candidate must operate and set up machines for repetitive machining operations.
• The candidate must clean and maintain workspaces.
• The candidate must enter CNC codes specifying speed, feed and tool paths.
• The candidate must program CNC machine tools.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be a quick learner.
• The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in aviation or aerospace manufacturing to assemble, inspect, and maintain aircraft or aerospace components, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• The candidate should work in the general manufacturing sector, creating new products from raw materials or assembling various components using physical, chemical, or mechanical methods.
• The candidate must work in the mining industry.
• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
