Instructor, ski - sports and recreation

Ski Marmot Basin Limited Partnership ( Jasper, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Instructor, ski - sports and recreation. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Seasonal employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness, or sports activities and techniques.
• The candidate must keep logs and maintain records.
• The candidate must schedule activities.
• The candidate must ensure the safety of rescuers and victims at accident scenes.
• The candidate must assist with coordination of recreational, sport, and fitness events.
• The candidate must lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs.
• The candidate must plan and carry out recreational, fitness, and sports activities.
• The candidate must maintain and repair sports equipment.
• The candidate must prepare reports.
• The candidate must understand principles of group dynamics.
• The candidate must lead and instruct groups.
• The candidate must lead and instruct individuals.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• The candidate must monitor recreational, sports, or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required.
• The candidate must teach assigned subjects or skills.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work at heights.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a ski centre or resort to manage operations, support guests, and maintain facilities.
