Bridgemans Crew Management LTD in Squamish, BC is seeking a self-motivated Chief engineer - water transport. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct maintenance and emergency repairs to engines, machinery, and all auxiliary equipment.
• The candidate must inspect maintenance and emergency repairs done on engines, machinery, and all auxiliary equipment.
• The candidate must operate main engines, machinery, and auxiliary equipment on ships.
• The candidate must supervise and co-ordinate activities of engine room crew.
• The candidate must stand engine room watch, monitoring and noting performance of engines, machinery, and all auxiliary equipment.
• The candidate must maintain records and prepare reports on engine performance and failures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
