Ma Chinese Cuisine in St. Catharines, ON is seeking a self-motivated Chef. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Day, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must estimate labour costs.
• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must analyze operating costs and other data.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
