The Canada Border Services Agency, CBSA is basically inviting students to apply for CBSA Student Border Services Officer via the Federal Student Work Experience Program, (FSWEP). With these positions, eligible students can build real work experience in the federal public service.
This role is responsible for helping with CBSA’s mission, protecting Canada borders and supporting public safety. There are roles offered in various places across Canada too, for students who actually meet the program eligibility requirements. Job Description
- You will work in the administrative, and operational team.
- You will be connected with technical, or general support teams.
- In other words, students will get hands-on experience while helping with the agencies day to day operations, not just shadowing.
Responsibilities
- Help assigned teams with routine admin work and operational tasks.
- Support research, documentation, and data keeping.
- Offer customer style or program related support when required.
- Keep records and reports truly up to date, with accuracy.
- Follow departmental policies, and follow the workplace procedures too.
- Finish other assigned tasks from supervisors, as needed.
Requirements
- Meet the eligibility requirements for the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP).
- Be legally able to work in Canada.
- Be registered as a full-time student at a recognized educational institution, and also satisfy the FSWEP eligibility criteria.
- Show strong communication together with organizational skills, and be capable of working effectively in a team setting.
- Meet any other requirements that are set out for the specific role.
