GR ROY CONSTRUCTION in Timmins, ON is inviting applications for the position of Carpenter. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Overtime required, Morning, Day, Weekend, To be determined, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
• The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate must build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
• The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
• The candidate must schedule and coordinate work on sites.
• The candidate must survey building locations and levels.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate's relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee's relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company's offices or other work locations as required.
• The candidate must work in renovation to repair, update, or improve residential or commercial properties, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.

• The candidate should work in the industrial area with facilities such as factories, plants, processing operations, and similar operations.
• The candidate must work in large-diameter pipeline construction to assemble, install, and maintain pipelines safely and efficiently.

• The candidate must work on roads and bridges to construct, maintain, or repair infrastructure and ensure safety standards.
• The candidate must work in underground mines, performing tasks related to extraction, safety, and maintenance in a subterranean environment.
• The candidate must work in agriculture, fishing, or forestry to manage crops, care for livestock, harvest resources, and maintain sustainable operations.
