Job Description

The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
The candidate must prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
The candidate must build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
The candidate must survey building locations and levels.
The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
The candidate must maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.

Job Requirements

The candidate must be fluent in English.
The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
