CAD (computer-aided design) technologist

Parklane Mechanical Acoustics is situated in Oakville, ON and is hiring a CAD (computer-aided design) technologist to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Day, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare engineering designs and drawings.
• The candidate must read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must train new drafting personnel.
• The candidate must prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
• The candidate must write technical reports.
• The candidate must write specifications.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must complete documentation packages and drawing sets.
• The candidate must examine drawings for conformity and errors.
• The candidate must consult with clients, engineers, or production specialists to establish product requirements.
• The candidate must analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures.
• The candidate must create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings using computer-aided design (CAD).
• The candidate must create three-dimensional (3-D) models using computer-aided design (CAD).

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
