Boiserie Mirabel is situated in Mirabel, QC and is hiring a Cabinetmaker to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
• The candidate must shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
• The candidate must study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made.
• The candidate must sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and prepare and apply laminated plastics.
• The candidate must apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
• The candidate must maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be punctual.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
• The candidate must work in a millwork shop to fabricate, assemble, and finish wooden components for construction or custom projects.

• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
