Cabinet assembler - furniture manufacturing

Palmieri Furniture Limited is situated in Richmond Hill, ON and is hiring a Cabinet assembler - furniture manufacturing to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must make minor adjustments and repairs to furniture.
• The candidate must prepare, sand and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts.
• The candidate must assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles.
• The candidate must read blueprints and drawings.
• The candidate must reinforce assembled furniture and fixtures with supports.
• The candidate must install hardware on furniture and fixtures.
• The candidate must make minor adjustments and repairs as required.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
