Speedy Publishing Canada Limited in Halifax, NS is inviting applications for the position of Manager, book publishing. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan and maintain production schedules.
• The candidate must recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
• The candidate must prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.
• The candidate must review programs and policies to ensure conformance with regulations.
• The candidate must estimate the time required to complete graphic designs and illustrations.
• The candidate must oversee editorial production from idea generation to publication.
• The candidate must design and layout pages.
• The candidate must prepare sketches, layouts, and graphic elements.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
