Foodland is situated in Port Carling, ON and is hiring a Butcher, retail to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean meats to prepare them for processing or cutting.
• The candidate must cut carcasses, sides, and quarters of meat.
• The candidate must cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
• The candidate must wrap and package prepared meats.
• The candidate must remove bones from meat.
• The candidate must weigh meats for sale.
• The candidate must clean and prepare fish and shellfish.
• The candidate must sell meats to customers.
• The candidate must cut fish into steaks and fillets.
• The candidate must grind meats.
• The candidate must prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
• The candidate must shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
