Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean meats to prepare them for processing or cutting.
• The candidate must cut carcasses, sides, and quarters of meat.
• The candidate must cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
• The candidate must wrap and package prepared meats.
• The candidate must remove bones from meat.
• The candidate must weigh meats for sale.
• The candidate must cut poultry into parts.
• The candidate must price meat products.
• The candidate must clean and prepare fish and shellfish.
• The candidate must sell meats to customers.
• The candidate must cut fish into steaks and fillets.
• The candidate must supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers.
• The candidate must grind meats.
• The candidate must train meat cutters.
• The candidate must prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
• The candidate must shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.
• The candidate must prepare special orders.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a butcher shop to process, prepare, and handle meat products while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
