Bus driver

Northern Spirit Transportation ( Prince George, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Bus driver. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers.
• The candidate must report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents.
• The candidate must load and unload vehicles.
• The candidate must direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures.
• The candidate must complete logbooks and reports.
• The candidate must communicate with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers using two-way radio systems.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
