Bus driver

Autobus La Québécoise Inc. ( Québec, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Bus driver. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers.
• The candidate must report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents.
• The candidate must direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures.
• The candidate must ensure para-transit passengers board vehicles safely.
• The candidate must deal with the public.
• The candidate must complete logbooks and reports.
• The candidate must deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts.
• The candidate must communicate with passengers, dispatchers, or other drivers using two-way radio systems.
• The candidate must ensure children's safety when boarding and leaving buses and while crossing streets when the bus is stopped.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
