University of British Columbia ( Vancouver, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Building services worker. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Day, Evening, Night.

Job Description

• The candidate must sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs.
• The candidate must operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and refuse.
• The candidate must empty trash cans and other waste containers.
• The candidate must move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• The candidate must clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Setting

• The applicant should be able to work in a school or educational institution/establishment comprising establishments that provide instruction and training in various subjects.
