Schooten and Sons Custom Feedyard is situated in Diamond City, AB and is hiring a Beef cattle herdsperson to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must treat livestock health issues.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
