Bakery machinery mechanic

TWI Foods Inc in Etobicoke, ON is seeking a self-motivated Bakery machinery mechanic. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• The candidate must repair or replace defective machinery parts.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• The candidate must adjust, repair or replace parts using hand tools and equipment.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must monitor safety conditions.
• The candidate must diagnose faults using testing devices.
• The candidate must train customers’ staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
• The candidate must adjust machinery and equipment to proper settings.
• The candidate must conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain maintenance records.
• The candidate must order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be analytical.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be involved in the maintenance, repair, and maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
