Bakery labourer

Now hiring: Bakery labourer at Saginaw Bakeries in Surrey, BC. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must have food safety and handling skills.
• The candidate must measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.
• The candidate must manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers.
• The candidate must check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
• The candidate must assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in bakery retail or commercial bakeries (manufacturing facilities), grocery or wholesale club stores, and restaurants.
