Automotive service technician

Prince George Auto Wrecking Ltd. in Prince George, BC is inviting applications for the position of Automotive service technician. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
• The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
• The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must inspect motors in operation.
• The candidate must review work orders.
• The candidate must road test motor vehicles.
• The candidate must test automotive systems and components.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
