Automotive mechanic

Guy's Tire Sales Inc ( North Bay, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Automotive mechanic. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Day, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
• The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• The candidate must coach and instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be punctual.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in an automotive service station to maintain, inspect, and repair vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
