Assistant cook

Now hiring: Assistant cook at Minos Takeout West End in Kingston, ON. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.
• The candidate must store beverage and food products.
• The candidate must report any malfunctions to supervisors.
• The candidate must clean and sanitize kitchens, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• The candidate must report information to the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must show initiative.

• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have strong time management skills.
