Architectural sheet metal worker

FRASER VALLEY ROOFING LTD ( Chilliwack, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Architectural sheet metal worker. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must measure and mark sheet metal according to templates.
• The candidate must operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal.
• The candidate must grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces.
• The candidate must inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications.
• The candidate must cut materials using power tools or by hand.
• The candidate must install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
• The candidate must install sheet metal flashings.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in the installation process to set up large-scale, mixed-media constructions, often designed for a specific location or time period.
• The candidate must work in shop fabrication to cut, assemble, and finish materials according to specifications and quality standards.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate must work in a sheet metal fabrication shop to cut, shape, and assemble metal products according to specifications.
