Apprentice insulator

West Peak Insulation is situated in Surrey, BC and is hiring a Apprentice insulator to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must select the type of insulation required.
• The candidate must measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
• The candidate must fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• The candidate must install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials.
• The candidate must brush waterproofing cement or other materials over insulating materials.
• The candidate must assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
