Now hiring: Appliance service technician at City Furniture & Appliances in Revelstoke, BC. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Shift shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct voltage, resistance, and other tests using electrical test equipment.
• The candidate must prepare written estimates of repair costs.
• The candidate must refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts.
• The candidate must diagnose faults using testing devices.
• The candidate must replace faulty components.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and the condition of equipment.
• The candidate must use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust and reprogram appliances.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
