Apiary technician

Busy Bee Farm Ltd. in Hay Lakes, AB is seeking a self-motivated Apiary technician. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Seasonal employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call.

Job Description

• The candidate must maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must interact with bees based on knowledge of their biology, behaviour, ecology, and caste system.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a quick learner.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
