Animal attendant

North Bay Humane Society in North Bay, ON is seeking a self-motivated Animal attendant. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment - Part time employment. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must document animal behaviour accurately.
• The candidate must monitor and evaluate animal behaviour.
• The candidate must prepare food and feed animals.
• The candidate must clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in an animal shelter to care for animals, maintain facilities, and support adoption services.
