Accounting technician

GESTION DAVID is situated in Sherbrooke, QC and is hiring a Accounting technician to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
• The candidate must keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• The candidate must maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
• The candidate must post journal entries.
• The candidate must prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
• The candidate must reconcile accounts.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
