Tech-Wood Building Components Ltd ( Rocky View, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Wooden truss maker. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Early morning, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must make minor adjustments and repairs to wood products.
• The candidate must assemble door panels, trusses, or modular components to make prefabricated housing.
• The candidate must pack items for shipping and distribution.
• The candidate must inspect wood products for conformance to quality standards.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
