Welder helper

Spectrum Fabrications Inc. in Maple Ridge, BC is seeking a self-motivated Welder helper. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from surfaces of metal products.
• The candidate must transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment.
• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually.
• The candidate must immerse metal products in cleaning solutions.
• The candidate must assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers.
• The candidate must sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials.
• The candidate must grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.
• The candidate must load and unload vehicles.
• The candidate must read and interpret work orders.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
