Job Description
- The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
- The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment.
- The candidate must read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
- The candidate must examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- The candidate must operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
- The candidate must fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
- The candidate must operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air, AOC).
- The candidate must determine weldability of materials.
- The candidate must operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
- The candidate must operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
- The candidate must operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
- The candidate must start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
- The candidate must maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- Or equivalent experience.
- The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- The candidate should have an eye for detail.
- The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
- The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
Work Site Environment
- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
- The candidate must be able to work at heights.
- The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
- The candidate must work in hot conditions.
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
Work Setting
