Job Description

  • The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
  • The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment.
  • The candidate must read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • The candidate must examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • The candidate must operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • The candidate must fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
  • The candidate must operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air, AOC).
  • The candidate must determine weldability of materials.
  • The candidate must operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • The candidate must operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • The candidate must operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
  • The candidate must start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
  • The candidate must maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

  • The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
  • The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
