Vineyard worker

Norman Hardie Winery & Vineyard in Wellington, ON is inviting applications for the position of Vineyard worker. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Seasonal employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Early morning, Day, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must maintain and manage the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must harvest crops.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in dirty environments.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
