Vineyard worker

FRIND ESTATE WINERY ( Kelowna, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Vineyard worker. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Seasonal employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
• The candidate must guide growing shoots into optimal development positions.
• The candidate must maintain and manage the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes.
• The candidate must mix fertilizers.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must fertilize and spray crops.
• The candidate must harvest crops.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.
• The candidate must be a quick learner.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
• The candidate must work in dirty environments.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
